Roseway Gives Back
Roseway Waldorf School Class 7s visit to the Embo Community
For many years, Roseway Waldorf School has proudly partnered with The Twinkle Star Foundation, a remarkable charity founded by Carol Schroeder. A former Roseway parent whose daughter attended the school from Playgroup to Class 12, Carol is deeply cherished for her unwavering love and commitment to the Embo community. Her vision and compassion have been the driving force behind this beautiful partnership.
This term, our school community came together with open hearts and generous spirits to collect food items for the beloved Gogos and Umkhulus of the Embo community.
On November 21st, our Class 7 students had the profound privilege of visiting the Embo community. The day was filled with warmth and connection as the students sang songs, shared smiles, and presented the food hampers they had lovingly packed. This touching exchange was more than an act of giving; it was an unforgettable moment of mutual enrichment.
We are thankful for this experience as it instills the importance of the great universal law: in giving, there is receiving.
"A heartfelt thank you to Carol Schroeder for her dedication and to the Gogos and Umkhulus for welcoming us so warmly into their community." Wendy Zondi, Roseway teacher.
In a world where so many communities face daily challenges, the Gogos and Umkhulus remind us of the incredible resilience of the human spirit. They teach us that compassion and collective effort have the power to bring hope and dignity to those who need it most.
To our incredible Roseway community: thank you for coming together and making a meaningful impact. Your contributions have brought not just nourishment but also love and light to a wonderful cause. Together, we continue to build bridges of kindness and connection.
